The Review of Financial Studies is pleased to announce the initiation of the Young Researcher Prize. Authors are eligible for the prize awarded at the annual meetings of the Western Finance Association if:

1. No author on the paper received either their current academic appointment or most recent Ph.D. more than 18 months prior to when the paper was submitted to the RFS.
2. The paper was submitted in the calendar year prior to the year in which the award is issued. Thus, papers submitted in 2007 are eligible for the prize given in 2008.

The initial prize will be announced at the 2007 meetings of the Western Finance Association. If you submitted a paper in 2006 or 2007 and may be eligible for the 2007 or 2008 prize please contact Tricia Cushing as soon as possible. Going forward authors that are eligible to have their paper considered for this prize should notify the editorial office upon the manuscript’s initial submission. The winning paper will be selected by the board of editors following the selection rules for the annual best paper prize.
